With its open rear deck flowing through into the cabin, the MV Bennelong offers a rare versatility for large groups in either cocktail format or seated formal dining – accommodating 130 and 80 guests respectively. In addition, there’s also an expansive upper deck offering open air cruising for guests who want uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour’s landmarks.

Q: How many people can MV Bennelong carry?

A: The vessel is rated for up to 130 guests plus crew. For buffet dining, 95 people may be accommodated.

Q: Is the boat wheelchair accessible?

A: While crew are available to assist limited mobility passengers with embarking and disembarking, the vessel is not rated as wheelchair accessible.

Q: Do you have facilities for my DJ?

A: Yes. The boat has modern AV facilities, including the ability for you to plug your iPod directly into the boat’s sound system.

Q: Is the boat safe for children?

A: As with all water activities, guests are advised to supervise their children while on board the boat. However, the boat does have guardrails and areas where it is safe for children to sit well away from the water.

Q. What does the ‘MV’ in ‘MV Bennelong’ stand for?

A: ‘MV’ is the nautical abbreviation for ‘Motor Vessel’, designating a powered civilian boat for general use (as opposed to SS, for instance, which designates ‘Steam Ship’).
